FURA events celebrate student research and promote best practices for faculty and administrators.
FURA organizes three annual events. Undergraduate Research Posters at the Capitol brings together four student researchers from FURA-affiliated institutions to present their research to state legislators in Tallahassee, while the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the largest multidisciplinary undergraduate research conferences in the US. in addition to allowing students an opportunity to present their research, FURC attracts numerous graduate schools from across the US who meet with attendees. Students also attend professional development seminars to prepare them for success as researchers at the next level. Finally, the Florida Statewide Symposium: Best Practices in Undergraduate Research brings together faculty, administrators, and professional staff to participate in a two-day symposium that focuses on strengthening and developing undergraduate research programs.
